El Baton Robusto

This cigar is made from the J.C. Newman company who also make the Cuesta Rey line and the bundled Quarom cigars. From what I understood it's blended by the same blender that use to work for the Torano family before they merged with C.A.O.

This first few puffs of this Nicaraguan corojo cigar are very peppery, very very peppery. It was so strong it even got my eyes a little watery. It mellows out quite a bit though shortly after the first quarter of it. It had some very nice meaty flavors to it. This cigar balances out very nicely half way threw it and really turns into a nice medium bodied cigar filled with some really nice flavors. I would compare it to the Rocky Patel edge.
