Curivari BuenaVentura

The Curivari Buena Ventura cigar line was released at the 2012 IPCPR Trade show in Orlando and represents another expansion for this top-quality boutique cigar manufacturer. First, the attractive old-school "Cubanesque" packaging will definitely grab your attention, but it is the cigar's flavors that really matter. This Nicaraguan puro will keep you coming back for more. The cigar was blended to deliver rich, complex notes with deep earthy flavors, hints of bread and a cocoa sweetness. One of the most intriguing things about Curivari, the Buena Ventura included, is that you get small batch construction and flavor for an awesome price. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better Nicaraguan smoke of this quality for this price. A very nice addition to the already solid Curivari cigar lineup.

Liga Privadfa Unico Serie Ratzilla

The Liga Privada Único Serie Ratzilla is one of the most limited cigars in Drew Estate's Liga Privada Único Serie.  The Ratzilla first surfaced in 2011 that was handed out to friends of the company.  After fifty 12 count bundles were released to Casa de Montecristo in Countryside, Illinois in 2012, the cigar was released in extremely limited quantities to select retailers across the country.  Since that time, there has not been another release of the Ratzilla. Until now!! The Liga Privada Único Serie Ratzilla, produced at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua, features a Connecticut River Valley Stalk Cut & Cured Sun Grown Habano Wrapper, a Plantation Grown Brazilian Mata Fina Binder, and Nicaraguan and Honduran Fillers. The original release was a 6 1/2 x 46 Corona Grande. While the cigar shares a similar blend to the Liga Privada Único Serie Dirty Rat, the blend for the Ratzilla was tweaked for the Corona Grande size.
The Drew Diplomat program gives participating retailers priority allocations on new cigar releases, limited editions, and commemorative cigars and products.

Jonathan Drew, speaking from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, stated: “We are excited that the Ratzilla is the first Drew Diplomat Retailer Holiday Seasonal Release. The Liga Privada Único Serie Ratzilla is the next logical progression in the Dirty Rat legacy.”

La Flor Dominicana Capitulo 2

Aside from their prominent position as one of the leading manufacturers of premium cigars in the world, La Flor Dominicana is well-known for their uniquely-shaped Chisel cigars. A specially-crafted shape LFD has used on limited cigars throughout the years, the Chisel is capped at the head in a tapered, flat shape - which gives the vitola its name.

2013 saw the release of the LFD Chapter One, an especially strong blend created by Antonio Gomez, son of LFD brand owner Litto Gomez. Antonio has now returned with the new Capitulo II, a limited edition 6 1/2" x 58 box-pressed chisel. The name is Spanish for "Chapter Two" - and this release builds on the theme of a strong, large, and box-pressed Chisel cigar.

For this release Antonio Gomez went with an entirely new blend, using a Nicaraguan Colorado leaf for the wrapper, Ecuadorian Habano for the binder, and Dominican tobaccos in the filler. In case you haven’t already guessed, this is a dark, mean cigar with a rich and oily demeanor - No joke this cigar is the sh!t. Already one of my favorites.

Ep carrillo La Historia

In the world of cigars, it’s hard to find a man more experienced—or more respected—than Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. He got his start in the cigar business making La Gloria Cubanas in a modest factory located in the heart of Little Havana, Miami’s Calle Ocho. Around 1990 he was selling standout, handmade cigars for less than $2 each. A newfound interest in cigars (and an article in a certain magazine) turned his company into a gem, and he couldn’t keep up with the demand. La Glorias went from curiosity to institution, and Perez-Carrillo expanded into the Dominican Republic, vastly expanding the production of La Gloria Cubana cigars.

Perez-Carrillo sold his business in 1999, and left the company in 2009. He set out to try something new, forming EPC Cigar Co. with his children, Lissette and Ernesto III that same year. On the fifth annivesary of the new venture, Perez-Carrillo has hit his stride. His La Historia is decorated with various images, including his grandmother in a Pinar del Río tobacco field and his daughter in Miami. The Perez-Carrillos worked two years on this cigar, and it shows in the final product, which is finished with a luxurious, dark leaf of Mexican tobacco grown in the San Andrés Valley.

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo has created many great cigars in his 40-plus years in business. His La Historia is his best effort in years.

Ashton Symmetry

The anticipation has been building for over four years. The long awaited release of Ashton Symmetry is finally upon us. Collaborating once again, Ashton and Arturo Fuente have teamed up to create a scrumptious, medium-bodied morsel. Originally, delays in the project occurred when fires broke out in Fuente’s factory, but this only motivated the Fuentes more to deliver another 90+ rated masterpiece. The first line released under the Ashton name since the Estate Sun Grown hit the shelves in 2006, it also serves as the first Ashton-branded cigar to contain Nicaraguan tobacco.
A perfect Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that’s oily, smooth, and golden brown is accented by a Dominican binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers. This well-proportioned blend offers notes of cinnamon, caramel, and a hint of white pepper on the finish. Naturally, it holds true to the smoothness and balance that Ashton is known for.
Some things in life are worth waiting for, and Ashton Symmetry most certainly is one of them. Yet another feather in Ashton’s cap.

EP Carillo Inch C-99

E.P. Carrillo added a new blend into its INCH line this past summer.  The INCH C99 cigar features a new blend that includes a Corojo C-99 wrapper.   .  The Original  INCH line was launched back in 2012 and is a line that revolves around large ring gauge cigars.  All of the cigars are in sizes of 60 and above.  The blend profile features a  Habano Corojo ’99 (grown in Ecuador) wrapper,  Nicaraguan Binder and Dominican filler. The INCH C-99 is consistent with the other INCH core line offerings.

EP Carrillo cabinet

The new E.P. Carrillo Cabinet is a medium- to full-bodied cigar that uses the same Ecuadoran Habano Corojo ‘99 wrapper used on the company’s new Inch C-99 line. The rest of the blend is a Nicaraguan binder and filler tobacco from the Dominican Republic.

Both cigars will be manufactured at Tabacalera La Alianza, Perez-Carrillo's factory in the Dominican Republic.

camacho Liberty 2014

  The Camacho Liberty series is an annual limited edition cigar and one that is consistently anticipated by cigar enthusiasts. Each year for the Liberty Series, Camacho puts forward a different blend and may vary the size. There is a limited allocation of these cigars and once the cigars are gone, they are gone. One thing that distinguishes the Camacho Liberty series is that each cigar is packaged in an individual coffin-box. According to Camacho, the Liberty 2014 features a multi-national blend from three countries and four different vintages. Wrapper: Habano Ecuador (2005 Vintage),
Binder: Corojo 2006, Filler: Nicaraguan, Dominican.
This is a delicious cigar filled with lots of cedar notes. A rare find that wont be around for too long.

Opus X Angel Share

When wine makers store their wine for long periods of time in oak barrels, some of it will evaporate from the barrel. They use the term Angel's Share alluding to the belief that the guardian angels watching over the wine have sampled it and gave their blessing. Following a warehouse fire destroying thousands of bales of tobacco, Fuente Jr. stated that the angels enjoyed the smoke and the concept was born. The OpusX Angel's Share utilizes the middle priming's of the tobacco plant where the heart and flavor is. A very elegant OpusX offering, Angel's Share exhibits a well-balanced flavor profile of cedar, nutmeg, and spice. It's like an Original Opus X with a little less bit. A great cigar for any pallet.  We stock them in the double Chateau size which is the largest of the Angel Share Vitolas.

After opening the new Aladino Factory, Christian Eiroa is back and the CLE Plus is his latest project. A follow-up to the 90-rated CLE Corojo, CLE Plus has been described as “the full-bodied Corojo cigar the market has been looking for.” With good looks to spare, CLE Plus has an impressive construction that’s sure to please. Eiroa truly loves creating full-bodied cigars, as evident here with this superbly blended Honduran puro. This enticing handmade includes prominent notes of flavor including oak, spice, molasses, and earth. CLE Plus gets it right, and it’s sure to satisfy fans of bold, full-bodied cigars everywhere.

Camacho Double Shock

Two wrappers are better than one.
Aficionados near and far are chomping at the bit to get their paws dirty with this blend. One of the most unique concoctions to come out in ages, this is a five country cocktail brimming with flavor. Instantly recognizable by its “dos capas,” or double wrapper, this puppy is as complex as they come. Hold onto your britches and get ready for the ride of your life with Double Shock Limited Edition by Camacho.
This is one medium to full-bodied, Honduran-made, diamond in the rough. Double Shock LE utilizes a barber pole wrapper style. The lighter of the two is a fan favorite Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, and a darker San Andres Maduro is twisted right beside it. To say this gem is aesthetically pleasing would be an understatement – this is a flat out visual triumph. A prized Criollo binder hugs long-fillers from Pennsylvania, the Dominican, and Honduras…If you’ve been counting, you’ll realize that’s five countries in one cigar. Notes of cocoa and coffee from the San Andres wrapper are accented by the sweet spiciness of the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, with slight nuances of earth, leather, and oak making appearances throughout as well. The only downside to this masterpiece is the limited quantities that come along with a blend as unparalleled as this one, so jump on this bandwagon the first chance you get!

Roma Craft Cigar company

 A small boutique cigar company Out of Texas. These are a brand you wont find At any cigar shop. Only three retailers stock them in the entire state of Michigan. The blends are really unique and I took a liking to them instantly.






The CroMagnon is a boutique blend from RoMa Craft Tobac utilizing some of the world’s most sought after tobaccos. This full-bodied blend is cloaked in a dark and rich Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper that encompasses a unique Cameroon binder. These tobaccos produce just the right amount of kick, which pairs well with the sweetness of the Broadleaf wrapper.

The excellence doesn’t stop there though: the fillers are made up from three separate growing regions in Nicaragua: Esteli, Condega and a small farm north of Esteli on the Honduran border. The use of these diverse tobaccos delivers the precise deep and rich tobacco flavor the guys at RoMa Craft wanted to present in the CroMagnon. This small boutique brand is truly worth trying out, an example that boutique cigar companies are very capable of producing world class smokes.

 The Intemperance line of cigars was launched by RoMa Craft Tobac in 2012.  RoMa Craft Tobac was launched as a collaboration between Michael Rosales and Skip Martin  This collaboration combined the operations of their two companies, Costa Rican Imports, LLC and Galveston Bay Tobacco, LLC.  The Intemperance line is made at RoMa Craft Tobac's own factory in Esteli Nicaragua called Fabrica de NicaSueno.  The Intemperance line was launched in two blends, and Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapped blend called the Intemperance EC XVIII and a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapped blend called the Intemperance BA XXI.

La Aroma De Cuba Noblesse

For the first time in the brand's history, the Ashton-owned La Aroma de Cuba now has a limited-edition cigar. Dubbed the Noblesse, the new release comes in one size and was created to commemorate the success of the La Aroma de Cuba line since its production was moved from Honduras to Nicaragua.
Made by My Father Cigars S.A., the Noblesse measures 6 1/2 inches by 52 ring and features an Ecuadoran Habano wrapper that Ashton categorizes as rosado. The rest of the cigar consists of Nicaraguan tobacco all grown on farms owned by the Garcia family, proprietors of the My Father Cigars factory.
"We wanted to do something special for the brand," said Ashton vice president Sathya Levin. "La Aroma de Cuba has been growing tremendously since we turned the operation over to the Garcias. We've never done a limited edition for La Aroma before.

If the name sounds familiar, it's because the Noblesse was originally supposed to be a cigar made exclusively for the Ashton Cigar Bar in Philadelphia last year. Plans changed, however, and the Noblesse never made it to the lounge.

"The packaging ended up being so stunning and the cigar so good that we knew we had to release it to the entire market," Levin said. "Rather than being a small-batch cigar available only at Ashton Cigar Bar, La Aroma de Cuba Noblesse is a limited edition being released to the world."
The Noblesse also marks the fifth iteration of the brand. When it debuted in 2003, La Aroma de Cuba was marketed as a premium value cigar and produced in Honduras by Altadis's Flor de Copan factory. Ashton temporarily stopped production of the line and subsequently turned it over to the Garcias in 2009. The cigar was reblended and the line was reintroduced, going from 10 sizes to five. La Aroma de Cuba remained a value brand, and as the cigar started to regain popularity, Ashton slowly added sizes, beefing up the portfolio, which is now up to 11 regular-production vitolas. Three line extensions now exist: La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial, Mi Amor and Mi Amor Reserva.
Only 3,000 boxes of 24 will be made. According to Levin, the entire production of the La Aroma de Cuba Noblesse is completed and aging in Nicaragua until the smokes are packaged and shipped in the fall, however, samples should be available at the upcoming IPCPR trade show.

Dominican longfillers and binders are dressed in an oily Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper, with 4 sizes to choose from. If you're a fan of LFD, you should only expect yet another cigar with stellar flavor and a full bodied strength profile.
